Abstract

This report aims at giving an overview about recent developments and activities of the Engler-Bunte-Institute, the DVGW-Research Center, the Research Center of Fire Protection Technology and TZW: the DVGW-Water Centre which developed from the Engler-Bunte-Institute. As usual, the gas related parts can be found in gwf-Gas|Erdgas and the water related parts in gwf-Wasser|Abwasser. The report highlights academic teaching, courses and advanced education, and focuses on scientific research and development projects, on consulting and contacts to business companies as well as on other activities. The report also refers to the development of the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT), which evolved from the fusion of the University of Karlsruhe (TH) and the Research Centre of Karlsruhe.
