Abstract

As part of the DBU research project the ITV Denkendorf and Berghof used and tested an innovative cleaning process on a biological and membranetechnical basis for the recovery of water used in textile operations. In doing so for the treatment of hot highly-stressed waste water from the knitted fabric laundry, in addition to a procedurally optimized anaerobic thermophilic biology, for the first time due to a newly developed water-air system a low-energy membrane-filtration was used. The essential goal of the cleaning process for the recirculation was the recovery of hot water (50-60 °C) and the thereby reduction of the costs for fresh water, heating and sewage charges.
