Abstract

For a depth specific observation of changes in groundwater quality around a well during a subsurface iron removal field test, four multilevel sampling systems have been used over a period of several months. The installation and operating conditions are described. The horizontal and vertical outward movement of infiltrated water was monitored in a layered aquifer with varying iron concentrations.
