Abstract

The use of condensing boiler technology is becoming more and more widespread in gas pressure regulating and metering stations (GPRMS/City Gate Stations). The handling of decentral produced condensates without connection to a sewerage system has not been regulated so far. Within the scope of this work, the condensate flows from the exhaust tube and the boiler of a selected GPRMS were investigated regarding chemical composition, with the aim of a possible percolation or direct discharge into surface water. A relevant result is e.g., a significantly higher load of the condensate in the boiler compared to the flue gas pipe which makes separate treatment of these condensate flows conceivable in decentralised GPRMS.
