Identification of the per capita demand for service water

Abstract

Based on new measurements of the key figures of Code of Practice W 410 and other empirical work, methodological approaches are presented that can be used to determine potentials for domestic drinking water substitution; the discussion of limitations that have become apparent results in a need for research and development both in the area of more precise determination of domestic daily consumption and, in particular, of outdoor uses, where novel uses such as garden pools in addition to irrigation can only be determined to a limited extent via nationwide averages.
