Abstract

The ad hoc communication of components of cyber physical systems raises various security issues, for example regarding potential identity theft. Machine to machine communication also requires globally defined semantics so that components can use the same concepts for functions, roles and rights. The difficulties are described as well as the importance of solutions for components which will be produced in future or by third parties.
