Abstract

In view of the need to improve the quality of a gravimetric dosing system, an automated system based on Hardware-in-the-Loop (HiL) simulation has been developed for factory acceptance testing (FAT). This involves real-time simulation with the necessary interfaces based on standard components, a user interface to define the test routines, and a verification engine for data collection, validation and protocolling. Further evaluation of the application is required, but it could already be demonstrated that the test system and the underlying architecture are able to carry out the necessary test procedures; a modular structure guarantees adaptability for other applications.
