Abstract

For automated functional testing of mechatronic products, a lot of various test tools are available. Typically, they focus on unique specific tasks and have different user interfaces, syntax and semantics. This results in a diversity of the applied tools and leads to negative impacts on user acceptance, costs, and thus the efficiency of automated testing. The integration of already existing tools into flexible test systems with a uniform user interface helps to solve these problems. The universal test system architecture can be used as a basis for the realization of test systems and to improve the overall efficiency of test automation.
