Abstract

An important task of operators of industrial process plants consists in regular inspection and maintenance of the equipment. Many of these tasks can be automated by the use of tele-operated mobile robots. With a recently developed software framework, the robot is not only able to inspect but to assist the operator semi-autonomously.
