Abstract

Wind turbines consist of several control loops that interact by its reference and actual values. To handle such complex systems it becomes increasingly common to use model-based tools. Based on the simulation of a technical system, code for an electronic control unit can be generated automatically which allows rapid prototyping. This paper shows some examples of how to create custom function blocks for the block diagram. Furthermore it is shown that the generated code can be optimized concerning its execution speed. This is shown by some application cases relevant for the construction of a small wind turbine.
