Abstract

Many areas of our lives are directly or indirectly connected with the measurement of products flowing through pipes. As a rule, mass or volume of a flowing medium is measured and measurement results are used for process control and charging or monitoring purposes. In addition to the high demand on the reproducibility of each measurement device there is also the requirement for absolute accuracy. But how is the measured accuracy of these flowing products being verified? This article presents the possibilities of precision flow measurement and of validation by means of an example.
