Abstract

VDI/VDE 3682 presents a standardized process description based on IEC 61360-1. It demonstrates that in an early stage of the design of a chemical plant a neutral, systematic object description is necessary and helpful. PROLIST presents properties and lists of properties to describe devices and systems for automation tasks based on the international standards IEC 61360-2 Component Data Dictionary resp. ISO 13584-42 Industrial Automation Systems and Integration - Parts Library and expands the VDI/VDE 3682 with a systematic description of the Technical Resource. The PROLIST-Dictionary is standardized by the PROLIST INTERNATIONAL e.V. within the IEC 61987. Furthermore, it is now harmonized with the classification standard eCl@ss within a harmonization project funded by the German Federal Ministry of Economics and Technology. The PROLIST-Dictionary is supported by NAMUR as NAMUR Recommendation 100 (NE 100). The contribution covers important principles of the underlying standards.
