Control valve engineering using standardized property lists

Abstract

During the engineering of field devices (especially control valves), assorted data are generated in the various phases of planning and purchasing that can be used during the life cycle of the devices. A standardized electronic data exchange with lists of properties (LOPs) during the valve engineering process provides consistent data management over the entire life cycle of the process plant.
