Abstract

The available engineering data of manufacturing plants includes extensive information about features such as the system topology. Nevertheless, user interfaces for operation and monitoring are still primarily designed and implemented manually later in the design process. A model-based approach is described for the automated generation of user interfaces which are being developed within the Autoprobe project. The project examines whether direct transformations between the engineering data and the user interfaces are possible and effective.
