Abstract

The paper reports a survey conducted by the Namur working group 2.2, looking for the use of Operator Training Simulators in the process industry in German speaking countries. The results show an acceptance of training simulation, however, also identify some uncertainties in the use of these systems in all phases of the life cycle. The results are reflected in the didactic context, and some conclusions for the industrial practice are given.
