IT Security Concepts for the Process Industry

Abstract

The recommendations for implementing the Industry 4.0 strategic initiative identify IT security as a crucial factor for success. New, more extensive security architectures are necessary. An overview is given of current IT security measures and requirements are defined for IT security in the context of Industry 4.0. Taking process engineering as an example, future requirements for IT-security are determined and possible approaches are discussed.
