Abstract

For the automation of the sorting station of a bottle filling plant, a model-based design was produced using MATLAB/Simulink®, Stateflow® and a toolbox for automatic code generation. The M1-System from Bachmann was used as the target system. Two sub-processes of the sorting station are described. The results of the automation of the sub-processes using a model-based design are evaluated in terms of feasibility, efficiency and portability to other target systems.
