Identifying anomalies and inefficiencies in production plants

Abstract

Industry 4.0 promises production companies significant potential with the digitalisation and networking of value-creation processes. In addition to increased flexibility and efficiency, the key objective is continual availability and optimisation of production in order to get the best out of the plant and to ensure competitiveness. Technologies and approaches are presented for the identification of anomalies and inefficiencies, for information transparency and the infrastructure which make a significant contribution towards achieving this objective.
