Abstract

Reliable process monitoring makes it possible to reduce costs and risks by detecting errors and problems in the automation process at an early stage, avoiding component failures and production stops. In this paper, stochastic methods for fault detection are investigated. The methods are based on the evaluation of measurements with respect to given stochastic process models. For this purpose, fault detection with various stochastic models is investigated and evaluated.
