Making OT security engineering an engineering discipline
A method-agnostic thought model & a data model

OT engineers rarely develop security solutions for automation themselves. This contribution can help to change this. First, existing OT security engineering process models are compared leveraging a method-agnostic thought model and gaps are identified. One of these gaps is then filled, namely the systematic analysis and modelling of the systems to be protected. Transferring this system model into a data model, potentially based on AutomationML, increases the efficiency of the security engineering process and the implementation of security engineering solutions.
