Abstract

The dynamic development of technology and the increasing individualization of products lead to new requirements for modern production plants. These are designed in a more modular way so that they may act more flexibly. However, this increases the complexity of production plants and leads to an increased effort when identifying the root cause of a fault, resulting in loss of quality and plant downtimes. An assistance system is presented that supports the plant operator in the analysis of root causes.
