Abstract

The net-zero energy plan specifies a method for designing the energy supply for industrial facilities sustainably and resource efficiently. Taking the requirements as its point of departure, the article first describes a standardized screening method. Then, the system for a specific facility is selected with the aid of weighted decision metrics. The basis for this is a comparative assessment of actions and
technologies based on technical, economic and environmental indicators. A model case study illustrates the methodology.
