Abstract

Seamless sustainability data is the key to transforming the textile industry. However, the industry is struggling with regulation, complex raw material flows and scarce resources.
The article presents a concept for an user-centred, domain-specific data ecosystem that addresses four core problems
- resource scarcity, data gaps, knowledge deficits and a lack of interoperability. Use cases such as the digital product  passport and sustainability data management show how standardised data products, automated analyses and open interfaces enable sustainable business models.
