Abstract

 Basics and User Aspects

Dynamically acting intrinsically safe electrical circuits enable significantly more power. The "Power-i"/DART-concept incorporates dynamic detection and control of occurring sparks. This paper describes the functional aspects as well as the safety concept of this technology, and furthermore the possibilities and advantages for the user. The aim is an international standard that enables an easy installation and planning as well as the interoperability and the proof of intrinsic safety in the easiest way.
