Abstract

In der modularen Automation stellt die Orchestrierung die Verbindung zwischen Process Equipment Assemblies (PEA) und Prozessen zum Betrieb her. In diesem Beitrag wird eine allgemeine Methodik, die so genannte typenbasierte Orchestrierung, vorgestellt, wie eine voll funktionsfähige modulare Prozessanlage auf der Grundlage des Module Type Package (MTP) konzipiert werden kann. In einer Reihe von Diskussionsrunden wurden die Schritte identifiziert, verallgemeinert und als Methode formuliert. Bestehende Normen wurden herangezogen, um zusätzlich benötigte Informationen zu beschreiben. Die daraus resultierenden Phasen und Schritte sowie die praktische Anwendung haben gezeigt, dass ein großer Teil der Planung
allein mit den Typinformationen der geplanten Module erfolgen kann. Die typbasierte Orchestrierung wird später durch Instanzinformationen ergänzt. Die Methodik wurde an einer modularen Destillationsanlage der Technischen Universität Dortmund getestet.

Lukas Bittorf, Semodia

M.Sc. Lukas Bittorf (born 1992) is project manager at Semodia GmbH, a company offering services and products around modular automation, MTP and NOA. He works on customer and research projects.

Katharina Stark, ABB

M.Sc. Katharina Stark (born 1979) is Senior Scientist at ABB Corporate Research in Ladenburg, Germany. Her research interests are workflows and tools in the area of automation engineering.

Mario Hoernicke, ABB

Dipl.-Ing. (FH) Mario Hoernicke (1984) is Senior Principal Scientist at ABB Corporate Research in Ladenburg, Germany. His research interest focusses on the development of new and innovative concepts for automation engineering.

Andreas Stutz

Andreas Stutz (born 1990) is a research engineer in the Technology and Innovations department at Siemens AG in Karlsruhe. His focus lies on future architectures of automation in the process industry. Furthermore, he is an external Ph.D. candidate at the Helmut-Schmidt-University / University of the Federal Armed Forces Hamburg at the chair of Prof. Alexander Fay. His research in the context of his Ph.D. deals with the application of service choreographies in distributed automation.

Hannes Weinhold, Merck

Hannes Weinhold (born 1990) works at Merck as a research Engineer. His research interests include automated process synthesis and process development automation.

Niclas Krink, X-Visual Technologies

M.Sc. Niclas Krink (born 1992) is a technical project manager at X-Visual Technologies GmbH. In his role he works at the interface of process engineering and software development.

Wolfgang Welscher, X-Visual Technologies

Wolfgang Welscher (born 1957) is the founder and CEO of X-Visual Technologies GmbH in Berlin. X-Visual Technologies GmbH develops and publishes innovative engineering software for the process industry. In his role as the CEO, he combines the process know-how of an engineer with many years of professional experience as a software developer.

Stefan Unland, SAMSON

Dipl.Ing. Stefan Unland, Unland (born 1965) is Head of ROLF SANDVOSS INNOVATION CENTER – Technology & Innovation, SAMSON AG in Frankfurt/Main. Since many years he has many experiences in engineering of package units for thermal and testing applications. Current tasks include digitalization of plant engineering and further expanding the valves’ decentralized intelligence.

Anna Menschner, Semodia

Dipl.-Ing. Anna Menschner (born 1987) is managing director of Semodia GmbH in Dresden. She has many years of very good knowledge in the field of Module Type Package (MTP) and modular automation. Semodia GmbH offers services and products in the field of MTP for all stakeholders along the value chain. This enables a wide dissemination of the MTP in the industry.

Polyana da Silva Santos, Evonik Operations

M.Sc. Polyana da Silva Santos (born 1978) has been working as Lead Engineer Process Control at Evonik in Marl since 2005. Her current focus is on MTP and automation of modular plants.

Norbert Kockmann, TU Dortmund

Prof. Dr.-Ing. Norbert Kockmann (born 1966) is head of the Laboratory of Equipment Design at TU Dortmund University since 2011 after he had worked in industry and academia in different positions. His group develops smart miniaturized and modular process equipment with integrated sensors for sustainable process development in laboratory.

Leon Urbas, TU Dresden

Prof. Dr.-Ing. Leon Urbas (born 1965) holds the professorship for Process Control Systems and is head of the Process Systems Engineering group at the TU Dresden. With his team, he conducts research on semantic models, discipline-integrating methods, and automation architectures for the digital transformation of the process industry.
