IT security management for industrial plants

Abstract

One of the key IT measures relating to security management is the monitoring of reports from various components which indicate an attack. This overall functionality is referred to as security event management (SEM). The generation of reports showing compliance with guidelines is known as security information management (SIM). If a unit combines both functionalities this is referred to as Security Information and Event Management (SIEM). This article describes automated tools for an holistic plant security management.
