Abstract

A completely revised version of NAMUR Worksheet (NA) 035 was issued in January 2019, replacing previous editions drawings on contents which had last been updated in 1997. Over the past two decades there have been significant changes in the conditions governing the engineering and execution of process control technology (PCT). The revised NA035 presents these changed conditions with respect to market influences and technical advances, referring primarily to the European process industry. The focus is not just on the planning and construction of new plants, but on their complete life cycle. Since PCT-engineering and
execution almost always take place in an inter-disciplinary setting, the new edition targets not only members of PCT-community but also all other interested parties involved at both working and on management levels.
