Efficient development of production systems
Coupling of a MCAD model with AutomationML

The increasing interlocking of different disciplines in the development of production systems requires an interdisciplinary data format that enables a consistent exchange of information. AutomationML tries to fill this gap, but at the moment there are almost no import and export interfaces in industrial MCAD tools. This paper presents a prototypical implementation of such an interface for Creo Parametric, which convinces by a reduction of design effort.
