Abstract

Industrial energy management is increasingly tapping into potential savings through continuous optimization. Intelligent monitoring and optimization require digital system models in which the meaning of the readable and writable signals is stored. AutomationML (AML) can bring great added value to energy management here. Using industrial component cleaning as an example, key energy figures can be stored in AML. Changes to the system are thus automatically incorporated into energy management.
