Abstract

The function-oriented building assessment method introduced in Part 1 (atp magazin 6-7/2026) enables a holistic analysis of building performance. However, its manual implementation is constrained by the extensive engineering effort required for data integration and classification. This second part focuses on the practical implementation through the application of digital twins and Large Language Models (LLMs). Based on the functionoriented taxonomy, an automated process is presented that semantically classifies building automation data points using LLMs, instantiates
digital twins, and assigns them to corresponding building technical functions.
