Abstract

In the context of rising energy prices and charges for CO2 emissions, increasing energy efficiency also plays an  important role in modular plants. In order to increase energy efficiency in plant operation, the use of load management can be useful. This helps to reduce energy consumption to a minimum during planned and unplanned production breaks in order to increase the energy efficiency of the system. As there are currently no standardized solutions for load management in modular plants and
this has not yet been considered in combination with the Module Type Package (MTP), this article shows an initial concept of how the state machine of the MTP can be linked to load management functions and how this link affects the modules and their engineering process.
