Abstract

The integration of heterogeneous data systems poses a significant challenge for the manufacturing industry. Semantic Matching facilitates the automated completion
of standardised data models, such as the Digital Product Passport (DPP), by identifying semantic relationships between variables, thereby reducing the workload for engineers by eliminating the need for manual activities such as data assignment. The article demonstrates how semantic matching enhances data integration, addresses gaps in standardised templates and optimises engineering activities.
