Abstract

Increasingly, component manufacturers are looking for solutions to provide digital images of their real components. The aim is to enable customers to validate their automation concepts virtually and to thoroughly test and optimise control systems in the development process using virtual commissioning. Simulation tools for virtual commissioning now offer a wide range of interfaces for integrating existing partial models when modelling a digital twin of a machine or plant. This article presents the online
platform “TwinStore” for the exchange of simulation models for virtual commissioning.
