Abstract

Standardisation takes time. A standardised data exchange of PCE requests between CAE and control-engineering tools has presented a problem. This contribution describes the first application of a new and agile standardisation method for PCE requests. Using this new method, leading vendors and users of engineering tools could rapidly develop a detailed electronic data model of a PCE request. Prototype exporter and importer software for leading CAE and control-engineering tools has been developed, and the bidirectional data exchange of PCE requests between them was successfully demonstrated at the Namur Annual General Meeting 2014.
