Abstract

This paper presents an approach for the implementation of Shared Production based on concepts of the Plattform Industrie 4.0 and Gaia-X. The goal of Shared Production is to build a manufacturing network with automated integration of external production capacities. This enables the ad hoc creation of supply chains across factory and company boundaries. The distribution and handling of orders and their processing thus become significantly more efficient. This paper shows how Gaia-X, the Industrie 4.0 language and the Asset Administration Shell can be combined to link Shared Production with manufacturer independent and interoperable technologies.
