Foundation stone for networked energy management of the future

The article describes an initial study and the development of a showcase for the implementation of collaborative business models in the process industry based on a data space concept in accordance with the goals of the German government’s Manufacturing-X initiative. Initiated by NAMUR, the industry initiative Process-X has been formed to develop use cases in order to demonstrate the benefits and approaches to secure and sovereign cross-company
data exchange between plant operators and system suppliers in the process industry. As a first show-case, the use case of crosscompany steam management at a chemical site will be discussed.
