Abstract

To meet the increased demands for individuality, flexibility and efficiency in production, plant manufacturers (not only from the automotive sector) must radically simplify their engineering and commissioning process. Effective and consistent digitization of data exchange over the entire life cycle of a plant enables optimal collaboration between the players involved and is therefore a major optimization factor. The DIAMOND project aims to create a common, interlinked/connected, cross-domain data model that can be used in industry meeting the present requirements. For this, all involved process steps, actors, tools, data formats and exchanged information must be analysed in detail. The results of this analysis are presented in this paper.
