Abstract

Recent developments in generative artificial intelligence based on large language models offer significant potential for various engineering processes, including those in robotics. Scientific studies in this context reveal initial applications. This paper highlights the current state of research, especially in robot programming. In addition, pre-trained models are examined for their ability to generate robot code, with a particular focus on syntactic and semantic correctness as well as comprehensibility
